💡Laminate Ordering Tips

Buy one spare box: Order at least one extra carton beyond the calculated boxes, roughly 5 to 10 percent more, and keep it sealed. Dye lots shift between production runs, so a future repair or an extra threshold will match perfectly only if the planks come from the same batch you installed.
Match waste to layout: Use 5 percent waste for a simple straight lay in a square room, 10 percent for diagonal runs, and 15 percent for herringbone where every board is cut on an angle. Rooms with many closets, bays, or angled walls push the waste factor to 20 percent, so choose the pattern that matches your real floor.

You measure the room by grabbing a tape, and you find the space is one-hundred-forty-four square feet. Buying Laminate: Head over to the store and purchase that amount of square footage.
