⚙How The Math Works

Calendar daysDays = (UTC end - UTC start) / 86,400,000 ms. Using Date.UTC avoids daylight-saving hour drift.
Include endWhen the include-end box is checked, the count adds 1 so the final date is counted as a day in the range.
Business daysThe tool steps one day at a time from start to end and counts only weekdays, skipping the two chosen weekend days.
Weeks splitWhole weeks = floor(days / 7). Leftover days = days minus weeks Ă— 7, giving a clean weeks-and-days form.
Months splitWhole months come from real month rollover: step month by month until the next step passes the end date, then count leftover days.
Weekend daysWeekend days = calendar days - business days, so the two figures always add back to the full gap.
Intervals fitWeekly and biweekly use floor(days / 7 or 14). Monthly and quarterly count complete calendar months, then divide by 3 for quarters.

Endpoint tip: A deadline gap is usually an exclusive count, while a trip or shift length is inclusive. Check the include-end box only when the final day itself should be counted.
Business-day tip: Calendar days and business days can differ by weeks over a long range. A 90-day window holds about 65 working days, so plan delivery dates against the business-day figure, not the raw total.

How to Count Workdays Correctly
