💡Actionable Space Tips

Use the gap before changing homes. If the target gap is within 5% to 10% of gross area, decluttering, storage consolidation, or reclaiming a work zone may solve the pressure without changing the resident count.
Separate area pressure from bedroom pressure. A home can have enough square footage but too few sleeping rooms; if the bedroom gap is below zero, test a lower residents-per-bedroom target before judging the floor area alone.

People tend to evaluate homes in terms of their overall size (in square feet), which doesn’t consider actualy usage.
